As the vaccination process continues, Northeast Ohio programs start their transition from online to in person. Hybrid events offer both virtual and in-person opportunities while people wait for the majority of the population to get second doses. From art galleries to Earth Day programs, here are five things to do this week in Northeast Ohio.

Cleveland Cinematheque

The Cleveland Cinematheque streams " ," an environmental documentary about Africa's continental belt of trees, on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22. Oscar-nominated Fernando Meirelles' film is available online through May 13. 

Cleveland Metroparks 

Cleveland Metroparks offers a litany of Earth Day activities, including a drop-in opportunity to improve sustainability. In this in-person, outdoors event, Beth Joyave demonstrates how to set up and maintain an at-home compost system.  follows social distance protocols and is available Thursday, Apr 22, from 3-7 p.m.

Akron Art Museum

The Akron Art Museum premiered "  on April 6 throughout the summer. People can view online or visit in person following COVID-19 regulations.

River Gallery

River Gallery’s “ features work by Lizzie Essi, Sue Cavanaugh and Meagan Smith. It’s available to view online and in person this Saturday, April 24, from 3-7 p.m.

Sustainable Cleveland
