As Teen Vaping Rates Rise, Local Students Work Together To Kick The Habit

Electronic cigarettes and other vaping devices have been sold in the United States for a little more than a decade now. Research tells us more young people than ever use e-cigs, and a company called Juul makes the top-selling brand. Its products don't look like - or smell like - cigarettes. In fact, they're pretty discreet.

But they still contain nicotine - a lot of it. According to Juul, a single pod of its flavored e-liquid contains as much nicotine as a pack of 20 regular cigarettes. Each pod supplies about 200 puffs and sells for four to five dollars.

ideastream's Mike McIntyre heads back to school to understand the attraction -- and meet some teenagers working together to kick the habit.
